WARWICK — Emily Eder, now in her sixth year of running for the Warwick Track Program (cross-country, indoor and outdoor track), is this week's "Student-Athlete," under the program sponsored by the Bill Garcia Allstate Insurance Agency.

Emily is a decorated member of the Wildcats Purple Wave and received the distinguished “Most Dedicated Award” as junior for indoor track.

"She has been an inspiration to her teammates and an outstanding role model in the high school," Athletic Director Gregory Sirico said in his press release announcing the student-athlete's selection.

Emily is active in the high school and balances a challenging course load of Advanced Placement classes with her responsibilities as Student Senate President.

She has received the Youth Rotary Leadership Award and serves as a member of the St. Stephens Parish Council.

She will begin her studies as a sports management major in the College of Business and Management on the campus of East Stroudsburg University next fall.

Emily is the daughter of Kathleen and Karl Eder of Warwick. Her brother Brendan is a freshman at Warwick Valley High School.
