Register for East Arm Rowing Club’s learn-to-row program on April 6

GREENWOOD LAKE — The East Arm Rowing Club of Greenwood Lake will register participants for its 15th annual learn-to-row program and novice sprints Rowing Regatta on Saturday, April 6, from 9-11 a.m.

Sign ups will be at the club’s new boathouse located at 69 Sterling Road in Greenwood Lake.

Registrants will be able to tour the recently built boathouse and will be given a brief introduction to the boats.

The fee of $125 per rower covers weekly training sessions by experienced coaches. Rowers must commit to the six-week program, and must be available on race day, Sunday, June 2, 9 a.m. Participants must be 18 years or older, be in good health, be able to swim, and be able to lift 35 pounds overhead. The program is designed for men and women.

Essential information
On-the-water training begins the week of April 21. There will be an optional indoor training session for registered rowers at the West Point boathouse on Saturday, April 13.
