Quarterback Brendan Bauer selected Student-Athlete of the Week

— Senior Brendan Bauer has been named this week’s Warwick Valley High School Athlete of the Week through the program sponsored by the Bill Garcia Allstate Insurance Agency.

The football captain completed 17 of 24 passes for 201 yards and the game-winning touchdown pass to Dermot Egan in the Wildcats 14–13 victory over Washingtonville last week.

In six games, the Warwick Varsity football team is a perfect 6–0 behind Brendan’s 998 passing yards, 10 TD passes and four rushing touchdowns.

Brendan is an honor roll student whose maintains a 86 overall average with a Regents-caliber schedule.

He has been recognized by the NYSPHSAA as a scholar–athlete for football and basketball as a junior.

Brendan is involved in the communications program and has volunteered at many of the district's youth activity days.

Brendan will attend college next year and continue his education in the field of business and play football. He is high on SUNY Cortland’s recruiting list.

Brendan is the son of Matt and Patricia Bauer of Warwick. He has two brothers: Ryan graduated from Warwick class of 2009 and Patrick class of 2010. His sister Shannon Bauer attends Sienna College and is a 2012 graduate.
