Becky Prial, a graduate of Warwick Valley High School who is now a junior on the University of Scranton women’s cross-country team, won the Marywood Invitational individual championship on Saturday, Sept. 2, in Scranton, Pa. Prial, who finished runner-up in 2004 and third in 2005, took the lead in the first mile and held off a challenge from Marywood sophomore Paige Jablonski to win the event in a time of 19:50 over a 3.19-mile course. A two-time all-Middle Atlantic Conference and NCAA Mid-East regional selection, Prial now has five top-10 finishes in her career.
