Pole vaulter Dane Sorensen is WVHS 'Student-Athlete of the Week'

WARWICK — Warwick Valley High School is proud to honor Dane Sorensen as this week’s "Student–Athlete" sponsored locally by the Bill Garcia Allstate Insurance Agency.
Dane is the 2018 Division, County and Section 9 champion in the pole vault.
He qualified for the 111th New York Road Runners Millrose Games with an indoor vault of 14 feet, 7.25 inches.
Dane plans to pursue education and history upon graduation. He has applied to Cortland, High Point University and the University of Rhode Island.
He has taken a challenging course load and is enrolled in AP Government and Politics for college credit.
Dane is currently completing his Eagle Scout Rank for Boys Scout Troop 121 of Greenwood Lake.
Dane is the son of Robert and Lisa Sorensen of Greenwood Lake. His sister Madeline is a sophomore at Warwick.
