Play ball






GREENWOOD LAKE — Immediately following the Greenwood Lake Little League Parade, the Blanket Boss and the Lions played the first baseball game of the season. The final score was Blanket Boss 15, Lions 13.
Prior to the game Mayor Jesse Dwyer thanked the parents for coming out and supporting Little League baseball. He then led the players in the Little League Pledge," followed by the league's oath for parents and volunteers.
Little League Pledge
I trust in God.
I love my country and will respect its laws.
I will play fair and strive to win.
But win or lose, I will always do my best.
The Little League Parent/Volunteer Pledge
I will teach all children to play fair and do their best.
I will positively support all managers, coaches and players.
I will respect the decisions of the umpire.
I will praise a good effort despite the outcome of the game.
