The Physical Education Department’s Mission Statement says: “As your children enter their High School Years, they are venturing into their final four years of Physical Education. All throughout the Elementary, Intermediate, and Junior High years, they have been educated in the arts and sciences of human movement, individual sport skills, and team sports. The mission of their High School years is to culminate all of their knowledge of movement, sport skills, and fitness levels into a healthy life style that will carry with them into their adult lives. “We as physical educators want our students not only to understand the physical aspects, but also the cognitive, and affective domains of our profession. We stress that they respect themselves, their peers, and adults in their educational setting. We are committed to helping every student reach their goals. “Our curriculum offers a variety of individual, team, and lifetime activities that will help them for years to come, and hopefully nurture them into productive people in their generation.”
