    May 6 • Callahan and Nannini (Blooming Grove) vs. Schlesinger’s (New Windsor), May 6 Final score: Callahan and Nannini 4, Schlesinger’s 1 Callahan and Nannini’s goals were scored by Pattiann Randazzo with one, Stephanie Bliss with two, and Jess Eichele with one. Special thanks to Jess Eichele from Loughran’s for being a sub for Callahan and Nannini. • Callahan and Nannini (Blooming Grove) vs. The Copper Bottom (Florida) Final score: Callahan and Nannini 3, The Copper Bottom 1 Callahan and Nannini’s goals were scored by Jess Eichele, Noreen Nannini, off a penalty shot, and Stephanie Bliss. The Copper Bottom’s single goal was scored by Angie Trzepkowski. These two teams were a good match in a well-played game. The Copper Bottom defense worked hard against Callahan and Nannini’s offense. Special thanks to Jess Eichele from Loughran’s for assisting Callahan and Nannini fielding a team. • Freedom Air (Montgomery) vs. The Copper Bottom (Florida) Final score: Freedom Air 3, The Copper Bottom 0 The Copper Bottom’s defense and offense gave Freedom Air a run for their money. Freedom Air’s goals were scored by Cathy Thompson, with 2, and Erin Vernon. • Schlesinger’s (New Windsor) vs. Freedom Air (Montgomery) Final score: Schlesinger’s 2, Freedom Air 1 Freedom Air’s goal was scored by Jill Siruchek. May 7 • Loughran’s (Salisbury Mills) vs. Life Plex (Monroe) Final score: Loughran’s 6, Life Plex 3 It was a hot day, and neither team had subs at some point in the game. Jessica Eichele had one goal assisted by Laura Woelfel, for Loughran’s. Sarah McBride had two goals, one assisted by Eichele and one from Rachel Boccard. Heather Gilbert had an amazing game, sprinting past defenders, scoring two goals, both assisted by Stephanie Bliss. Bliss also scored from an assist by Eichele. Evelyn Strandseldt made some great plays, and Sue Ventre saved the team on defense. Katie Duffy was in the net and made some impressive saves for Loughran’s. Loughran’s thanks Stephanie Bliss, from Callahan and Nannini, for helping out and having a superb game. Life Plex’s goals were scored by Laura Farley with one in the first quarter and Tricia Kent with two in the fourth quarter. A good game was played by all. • Loughran’s (Salisbury Mills) vs. Halligan’s Public House (Warwick) Final score: Loughran’s 10, Halligan’s Public House 1 This was the second game of the day for both teams, and neither had any available subs. Sue Ventre scored unassisted for Loughran’s. Stephanie Bliss added three goals for Loughran’s. Bliss’s goals were assisted by Heather Gilbert, Rachel Boccard, and Ventre. Sarah McBride had two goals, one assisted by Bliss, the other by Laura Woelfel. Jessica Eichele scored one goal, assisted by Rachel Boccard, who played super and had some amazing plays. Boccard scored off a high-flying, diving header — this girl can jump! Her goal came off a cross from Heather Gilbert. Gilbert also scored from a pass by Eichele. Katie Duffy was in the goal, but came out to show off some skills on the field. She played end to end, and scored from an assist from Eichele to end the game. Laura Woelfel made some great plays for Loughran’s as well. The league thanks Stephanie Bliss, from Callahan and Nannini, for playing for Loughran’s. • Life Plex (Monroe) vs. Trophies and More (Monroe) Final score: Life Plex 6, Trophies and More 0 This was the second game of the day for Life Plex. Melinda McDonald and Laura Farley scored one goal each in the second quarter for Life Plex. Erica Morris had one goal in the third quarter off of a corner kick. Sarah Farina had three goals, one in the third quarter and two in the fourth quarter. Tricia Kent, Andrea DeCastro, Theresa Conlon and Jannine Barbosa had a great game. Lisa Jackson had a fantastic game in goal. Trophies and More worked very hard but were unable to make a comeback.
