Orange County League recognizes scholar-athletes Shane Connolly and Deirdre Davis

MIDDLETOWN — The Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association has recognized seniors Shane Connolly and Deirdre Davis as the scholar-athletes of the year for Warwick Valley High School.

OCIAA Scholar–Athletes had to be in the top 10 percent of their class and excel in athletics for their school district.

Shane will be attending the U.S. Military Academy at West Point; is currently ranked 35th in a class of 388 students. He is a six-time Section 9 wrestling champion and a captain for both the lacrosse and wrestling teams this year.

Deirdre will attend SUNY Oneonta where she will study physical therapy. She is ranked ninth in a class of 388 students with an unweighted average of 95.23.

Deirdre competes as a cross country, indoor and outdoor track athlete.

Congratulations to Shane Connolly and Deirdre Davis who are both seniors at Warwick Valley High School.
