About 300 cyclists riding to raise money for an organization named Bike4Chai passed through Warwick and Pine Island on rain slick County Route 1 on Thursday morning, Aug. 1. The riders were on a two-day journey covering 175 miles from the Jersey Shore to the Port Jervis area. These photos were taken as riders entered the Black Dirt flats region of Pine Island near the last leg of their journey after spending the night in Suffern. The group raises money to send children who are ill to Camp Simcha in Glen Spey, an overnight summer camp designed to meet the medical and social needs of children and teens with cancer and other serious illnesses (for more information, visit http://www.chailifeline.org/events/Bike4Chai/index.php).
