NYSPHSAA announces Fall 2021 Scholar-Athletes

The New York State Public High School Athletic Association Inc. (NYSPHSAA) announced this week its fall 2021 scholar-athlete teams and number of scholar-athlete individuals per team.
This is the 30th year the NYSPHSAA has conducted the Scholar-Athlete program, which is sponsored by Pupil Benefits Plan, Inc.
For fall 2021, NYSPHSAA recognized 3,825 Scholar-Athlete teams. In addition, 48,023 students received individual scholar-athlete recognition by having an individual GPA of 90 or above.
“Student-athletes in our member schools continue to prove they can successfully balance athletics and academics,” said Dr. Robert Zayas, Executive Director. “Over 48,000 student-athletes were recognized for their hard work, effort and determination in their sport and in the classroom and we applaud them for their achievement as Scholar-Athletes.”
