Nicholas Garcia named 'Student-Athlete of the Week'

Warwick Valley High School is proud to recognize senior Nicholas Garcia as this week's Bill Garcia Allstate Insurance Student–Athlete of the Week.
The two-year football player was a starter at outside linebacker for the Wildcats where he made 38 tackles, had two sacks and made "the interception of the year” against Minisink in the overtime win at Minisink.
Nick played was a partner this spring for the unified basketball team that finished 3–3 overall.
Nick will graduate with a grade point over 85 and has taken challenging courses in Robotics and Engineering, Chemistry and Algebra II. He will attend Hartwick College in the fall where he will major in sociology and minor in special education while playing football for the Hawks. He will be following in the footsteps of his cousins Brad and John Garcia.
Nick is the son of Bill and Sharon Garcia of Warwick.
His brother Rocco (2017) is a sophomore at Manhattan College where he is studying mechanical engineering.
