Warwick - The first annual Warwick Youth Roller Hockey golf outing was a resounding success. More than 80 golfers attended the rescheduled event on Aug. 16 at Farmstead Country Club in Sussex County, N.J. (The original June 28 date was rained out). Unlike the original date of June 28, Aug. 16 was picture perfect. Bob Fallon of Oakland, N.J., shot a 74 to take the low gross while Bob Mosier of Warwick shot a 70 to take the low net. Dinner was served after the event. Among the prizes that were raffled off were Yankees tickets, a foursome to Foresgate with dinner, Mets tickets, a set of irons and golf bags. Darryl Lepik of Warwick also contributed a large variety of hockey memorabilia to the raffle. The proceeds from the event will be used for the construction of the rink at the Union Corners recreation facility. Organizers are looking for volunteers who would like to help in the construction.
