Monroe United Wolverines capture first

The Monroe United Soccer Club’s Under 10 Boys Wolverines captured first place at the 26th Annual Greenwood Lake Soccer Club Tournament on Jan. 21. The road to the championship included three thrilling victories against Washingtonville, Florida and Greenwood Lake. The Wolverines participating in this tournament included Brandon Curtis, Ricky DiLello, Peter DeLeo, Riley McHugh, Jack Dwyer, Zach Suzzan, Steven Meagher, Angelo Pereira, Andrew Ruyack, James McDonald, E.J. Hameed and Brandon Torres. The Wolverines also excelled in the half-time “shootout” competition as Jack Dwyer captured the first-place trophy, while Brandon Torres earned a plaque in the keeper contest.
