    Monroe - John Degennaro and Rob Smith led a balanced, 19-hit attack as The Afterdeck moved into sole possession of second place by defeating JB McMinnions by the score of 16-5. Degennaro was 3-4 with three RBIs and three runs scored while Smith was 3-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Dan Henderson threw seven solid innings for the win and contributed two hits and three RBIs for The Afterdeck, now 5-2. In other league action last week: • Loyal Tire defeated Monroe Jewelers 15-1. Jimmy Scully homered and Neil Hoyt got the win • Wallace & Berry had a big 8-4 win over defending A division champions, Tommy D’s. Kevin McGee led the way with two hits and two runs scored, Pat Ryan had a big two-run double and three RBIs, Neil Riordan had a two-run double and John Curly had a key RBI. Steve Berry pitched a great game allowing only one earned run. • CB Trucking defeated Master Chimney Sweep 4-3. Mike Melasky was the winning pitcher in the come-from-behind victory. Don Benson’s double scored Bob Bauer who opened the top of the seventh inning with a lead-off single. John Shafron had two hits and scored two runs. Abid Acosta had two hits and also scored. Bill Paladino, Jim Murphy and Abid Acosta starred defensively. Bob Cassilli connected for a long home run and Ron Schnell added a two run shot for Master Chimney Sweep. • John Gerbacia pitched a one-hitter to lead Nebrasky’s win. Kevin Fisher went 4-4, Rob Ross went 3-4 with a stand-up double and Tom Fallon had a triple. • The Brazen Head came from behind to beat Billy Ball in extra innings, 12-11. Jesse Blattstien gave up only a couple of earned runs for the win, Tracy Robinson made a key defensive play late in the game and Kenny Schultz had the game-winning hit. • In other action, Monroe Temple defeated Billy Ball.
