Monroe Senior League results for week ending June 9

There were only 3 games, as 6 games were lost due to the rain. The Captain’s Table continued their streak of exciting games with a 5-4 extra-inning win over J. B McMinnions. After staking McMinnions to a 4 run lead the Table roared back with 3 runs in the bottom of the 5th inning on hits by Alex Toledo, Ron Vallore and Joe Randa. Greg Manning plated Rick Sternkopf with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 7th inning to tie up the game and in the bottom of the 8th Doug Campbell drove in Ron Vallore with the winning run after he led off the inning with a single. Kevin Gannon pitched the win for the Table. Earlier in the week, The Table edged Wallace and Berry Insurance 6-5. John Murray Homered and Mike Niemann played outstanding defense. Gannon also pitched that win. In other action, Billy Ball defeated Monroe Temple 15-2.
