Allentown, Pa. - Freshman Amanda Martini of Monroe helped the Muhlenberg College women’s outdoor track and field team finish second at the Centennial Conference Championships. Martini, one of the Mules’ top sprinters, ran on two ECAC-qualifying relay teams, earning a silver medal with the 4x400 team and finishing fifth on the 4x100 squad. Martini also placed in two individual events. She was third in the 400 meters, winning a bronze medal, and fifth in the 200 meters. “Amanda was our female freshman of the year,” said Head Coach Brad Hackett. “She stepped up to the plate and had a great outdoor season,” the coach added. Martini is a graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School.
