Little League ‘make-up' parade held Saturday

In a rare decision, the annual Little League parade and ceremony, which marks the opening of the baseball season, had been canceled on the original scheduled date, April 22, because of heavy rain. Although the Little League season has officially been open for several weeks, an abbreviated version of the parade took place on Saturday, May 6. A color guard followed by local officials led the line of marchers down Main Street and over to Veterans Memorial Park for traditional ceremonies.
