Little League donates $750 to Warwick school athletics

WARWICK — The Warwick Little League has donated $750 toward the upgrade of the batting cage in the Warwick Valley School District.
The donation will be use toward the partial payment and purchase of upgrading the batting cage in the high school small gym and the purchase of a second cage to accommodate the six school baseball and softball teams.
The batting cage in the small gym was purchased in 1997.
League President Bart Amatetti made the donation on behalf of the Board of Directors this weekend during the league’s player evaluations.
Currently, the Little League softball and baseball teams do instructional clinics on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in the high school.
