Lily Newkirk is the WVHS Student-Athlete of the week

Warwick Valley High School is proud to recognize senior Lily Newkirk as this week's Bill Garcia Allstate Student–Athlete of the Week.
The senior Track and Field standout is part of the school record-holding Shuttle Hurdle Relay Team for both indoor and outdoor track and field, set during the 2017 season.
During the fall, Lily was a three-year Varsity Volleyball player and 2018 captain. She competed as a setter and outside hitter.
Lily and her teammates will compete on Friday night, May 10, in the Friendship Games Track Meet on the Warwick Valley High School campus.
Lily is a solid student with a cumulative weighted average of 88.4.
Her classes include Advanced Placement Courses for College Credit in Government and the OCCC Calculus course.
Lily is active in the St. Stephen's Church Parish Council. She also volunteers with the Warwick Volleyball Camp.
She will be attending Cortland State in the fall and plans to study Mathematics and Physics.
Lily is the daughter of Roland and Andrea Newkirk of Warwick. Her sister Hope (2016 WVHS graduate) attends Binghamton University.
