Lacrosse team captain Eric Ormsby selected at Warwick's 'Student-Athlete of the Week'

— Warwick Valley High School is proud to recognize senior Eric Ormsby as this week's’ Bill Garcia Allstate Insurance Agency "Student–Athlete."
The senior lacrosse captain and midfielder has scored 11 goals, including five against Valley Central, to pace the Wildcats to wins over Valley Central, Highland and Newburgh last week in boys varsity lacrosse.
Ormsby is a four-year member of the Boys Varsity lacrosse team (All Division as a junior). He was a standout soccer player in the fall and kicked for the football team on Friday nights (Warwick’s Kick–off Weapon).
Ormsby is an outstanding student–athlete with a weighted grade point average of 92.8. His classes include Advanced Placement Courses for college credit in biology and calculus.
He is an active member of the Sports Medicine Club.
He is recognized as a scholar–athlete for lacrosse, soccer and football by the NYSPHSAA by maintaining an average of 90 or better in season for all four years of high school.
Ormsby plans to attend Wilkes University of Pennsylvania where he will study mechanical engineering and play lacrosse for the Colonels of the MAC Freedom Conference.
He is the son of Kim and Stephen Ormsby of Warwick. His brother Sean and sister Emily are both alumni and were standout student-athletes of Warwick Valley.
