Lacrosse team captain Brandon Donnellan chosen ‘Student-Athlete of the Week’

WARWICK — Senior Brandon Donnellan has been selected as this week’s Warwick Valley High School’s “Student–Athlete of the Week” through the program sponsored by the Bill Garcia Allstate Insurance Agency.
The lacrosse team captain and his teammates wrapped up last week with victories over Vernon, N.J., Wallkill and Pine Bush to improve their record to 5–1.
Brandon has been playing varsity lacrosse since his freshmen year at Warwick. He earned All-American status as a junior and is the top Long Stick Midfielder in the Hudson Valley.
In addition to lacrosse, this outstanding Warwick athlete also has lettered in varsity soccer and indoor track. He has been honored by the NYSPHSAA as a scholar–athlete in all seasons, maintaining a 3.8 Grade Point Average as he approaches graduation.
Brandon has committed to Pace University as a student–athlete where he will play lacrosse for the Division II Pace Setters as he continues his education as a political science and communications major.
Brandon will begin college with a minimum of nine college credits earned from his high school schedule which includes AP Literature, AP Environmental Science and College Calculus (Orange Community College).
He also is a member of the Film Club, Ping Pong Club and has volunteered time in former Congresswoman Nan Hayworth’s office.
Brandon is the son of Daniel and Christine Donnellan of Warwick. His brother Tyler is a sophomore at SUNY Delhi and his sister Ashley is in the Middle School.
