Kick ball tournament raises $2,700 for the Warwick Foundation for Excellence in Learning

WARWICK — On Thursday night, June 8, the Warwick Foundation for Excellence in Learning (WFEL) ran its Fourth Annual Kick Ball Tournament to benefit the students and teachers of the Warwick Valley School District.
The event raised more than $2,700 for the foundation's Mini Grant Program.
Eleven teams and approximately 130 players came out to play in the single-elimination tournament which culminated in a final round between New Kicks on the Block and the Fire Balls.
“On behalf of WFEL, we congratulate the winners of this years tournament - the New Kicks on the Block," said Vanessa Holland, the foundation's chair. "We would also like to thank all of the participants, volunteers, especially Warwick Valley High School and Rock Underground student Hannah Horowitz for singing the National Anthem."

The Warwick Foundation for Excellence in Learning is a community-based, not for profit organization.
