Junior basketball league forming in Monroe

Monroe - The first annual boys Roundball Fall Classic basketball league will kick off this fall with an eight-game season, an all-star game and a championship playoff. The league will have divisions for seventh-graders and another for eighth-graders. League play starts on Sept. 16 with games played on Saturdays at Monroe-Woodbury schools. There also will be certified referees and trophies for the first-place finishers. There is an entry fee of $780 per team; enter as a team with a 10 to 15 player roster; a check for $14 is required for insurance from each player.
