Jennifer Simons smashing as M-W athlete of the week

Central Valley - Varsity Tennis player Jennifer Simons has been named Monroe-Woodbury High School’s athlete of the week. Jennifer is a senior and two-year player on the Girls Varsity Tennis Team. While a singles player, Jennifer played part of this season in a doubles position alongside her younger teammates in hopes of strengthening next year’s team. Her passion on the court is visible in all that she does. She is a member of the National Honor Society, is in the top five of her class and is an accomplished clarinetist. Next fall, Jennifer hopes to attend Stanford University to study music and pre-law. Each week, the high school’s Athletic Department recognizes a student or students who maintain a high degree of success in all areas pertaining to academics while also demonstrating good citizenship and outstanding game sportsmanship.
