Jacob Becher named Warwick Valley Student Athlete of the Week

WARWICK — Warwick Valley High School is proud to select senior Jacob Becher as this week's Bill Garcia Allstate Insurance Student–Athlete of the Week.
Jacob is a four-year track athlete (Indoor and Outdoor Track as well as Cross Country). He is one of Warwick’s most dedicated winter competitors, excelling in the 200 Meter and Pole Vault.
Jacob has a weighted academic average above 90 and will be a Scholar–Athlete for Track and Field this winter, recognized by the NYSPHSAA Scholar–Athlete Recognition program.
His class load includes OCCC Calculus and Advanced Placement Environmental Science.
He has been accepted to Cortland and plans to major in Advanced Science.
Jacob also is an Eagle Scout and recently completed his project to benefit the Greenwood Lake community.
Jacob is the son of Beth and Dan Becher of Greenwood Lake. His sister Ella is a sophomore at Warwick Valley High School.
