Ioannis Kallopoulos named Warwick Student-Athlete of the Week
WARWICK — Warwick Valley High School is proud to select Ioannis Kallopoulos as this week's Bill Garcia Allstate Student–Athlete of the Week.
The senior tennis captain and soccer standout opened the season with a win at Port Jervis as the tennis team swept the Red Raiders 7-0 (Doubles Player).
Yianni and the Wildcat were scheduled to play Washingtonville at home on April 1 then at Valley Central the April 3.
Yianni's academic average is a weighted 96.4 and he has earned NYSPHSAA Scholar–Athlete recognition for both soccer and tennis.
He is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Senate and a Magna Cum Laude honor winner.
He is enrolled in five AP classes including two college math classes (Financial Algebra and Calculus).
Yianni has been accepted to Binghamton University’s prestigious Business School where he will attend this fall.
Yianni is the son of Tom and Dina Kallopoulos of Warwick. His sister Katerina is a sophomore at Warwick Valley High School.
