GOSHEN —The Physical Education Department of the Goshen High School has named its Physical Education Students of the Month for October. The Students of the Month are Thomas Guererri, nominated by Physical Education Teacher Gus Lawson for his participation in ultimate Frisbee; Francesco Lanzillo, nominated by Physical Education Teacher John Russo for his participation in golf; Kaitlin Lippert, nominated by Physical Education Teacher Joanne Reiser for her participation in golf; Anthony Mita, nominated by Physical Education Teacher Robert McIntee for his participation in golf; and Andrew Myruski, nominated by Physical Education Teacher Mike Turi for his participation in ultimate Frisbee. “As physical educators, we want to educate all our students on the importance of a physically active lifestyle to reduce their risk of hypo-kinetic conditions and increase their personal wellness for years to come,” said Physical Education Teacher Mike Turi. “Diseases such as heart disease, cancer and stroke are considered to be hypo-kinetic conditions, because they are caused in part by sedentary living.”
