Headed to the state championship

The Bear Mountain Pee Wee A Travel Hockey Team defeated the Pocono Pirates to win the annual Skate and Ski Tournament, on Feb 19-21 in Scranton, Pa. Pictured here moments after the 1-0 victory are Mike and Alex Marino, Rob DeBalonnia, JD Morris, Anthony Cardone, Connor Doran, Austin Garvey, Stephen DaLaisero, Chris Lozinak, Matt Nelson, Dan Tooma, Evan Froelich, Joey Renza, Nick Haggerty, Chris Murphy, Mark Knowlton, Head Coach Tom Doran and Assistant Coach Tony Cardone. Missing from the photo are Mark and Mike McAteer and Assistant Coach Bob Garvey, who was coaching the Squirt Team to the same tournament championship in their division. Meanwhile, the Pee Wees also won their league championship on Sunday, Feb. 27, with an exciting 3-2 overtime win against Pearl River. They head next to the New York State Pee Wee Championship in Rochester on March 3-5.
