Harsev Singh selected as Warwick's Student Athlete of the Week

WARWICK — Warwick Valley High School is proud to select senior basketball player Harsev Singh as this week's Bill Garcia Allstate Insurance Student-Athlete of the Week.
Harsev plays guard for the varsity basketball team and has been a key contributor to the Cats’ victories over Valley Central, Chester and Minisink.
Harsev has also played baseball and is considering coming out for the tennis team this spring.
He is in the process of creating a non-profit organization called “Students Helping Hands,” targeting student involvement in aiding the elderly.
Harsev carried a 102.5 weighted average this past quarter and has an overall average of 99.3 for his high school career.
His commitment to academics has afforded him many options and he plans to study medicine and to become a doctor of orthopedics.
Harsev is the president of the National Honor Society, a member of Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society, Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band and has served on the Student Senate and Model United Nations program.
His class load includes AP Calculus, AP Literature, AP Physics. AP Physical Education and Chinese 5.
Harsev is the son of Sandy and Dr. Sandeep Singh of Warwick. His sister Gursimar attends Syracuse University (freshman) and his brother Tegh is a sophomore at Warwick High School.
