Gym teachers name students of the month

GOSHEN — The Goshen Central High School Physical Education Department has named its Students of the Month for October. Students were nominated by their physical education teachers, and each student received a T-shirt. They are: Timothy Degan, nominated for his participation in Ultimate Frisbee by Gus Lawson; Sarah Grieb, nominated for her participating in Ultimate Frisbee by Mike Turi; James Kelly, nominated for his participation in baseball by Kathryn Magid; Kaitlin Sabbagh, nominated for her participation in golf by Joanne Reiser; and Michele Wood, nominated for her participation in golf by Robert McIntee. The department believes that physical education is the art and science of human movement, and has three domains: the psycho-motor, cognitive, and affective domain. Pupils who are selected as Students of the Month are chosen for their understanding of each domain and the lifelong effects that each has on their health and happiness.
