Goshen Little League to hold registration

    Goshen — Registration for Goshen Little League’s 2006 season for T-ball, boys’ baseball, and girls’ softball will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 18, and Tuesday, Nov. 15, at the C.J. Hooker Middle School cafeteria from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. New members must register on one of these dates. Registration packages have been mailed to past members. These forms must be mailed back by Nov. 15 or turned in at one of these registrations sessions. Registration fees for the 2006 season are as follows: • 5 to 8 years old — $60 • 9 and 10 years — $70 • 11 and 12 years olds -— $80 • 13 years old and up — $90 Maximum family payment — $200 The age group a child will be in is determined by the age the child will be on April 30, 2006, for baseball, and Dec. 31, 2005, for softball. The Little League International Board of Directors has mandated this change. Only new members need to submit copies of a birth certificate and proof of residency, which can be either a utility bill (showing a Goshen address), school tax bill, or proof that the player is a student of one of the Goshen School District Schools. St. John’s and Burke students are not eligible to play unless they live in the Town or Village of Goshen. No cash will be accepted.
