Golf outing in the works
Middletown Plans for the 2006 Pro-Am Tournament for Occupations, Inc. are well underway. The tournament is scheduled for Tuesday, June 13, at the Golf Club at Mansion Ridge at 1292 Orange Turnpike in Monroe. The event will begin at 7:30 a.m. with a breakfast buffet, with a shotgun start at 9:15 a.m. on the Jack Nicklaus Signature Course. Sponsorship, journal ad, and donor opportunities are available. The fundraiser will benefit 14,000 children and adults with disabilities and special needs receiving a broad array of services, information, and referrals through Occupations, Inc. The group helps with employment, transportation, recreation, residence, individual and group counseling, case management, hospitalization, and psychiatric and child welfare services. The Mobile Mental Health Services Team provides telephone support and crisis intervention. Other services include executive offices and community counseling in Scotchtown, community counseling in Middletown, the Arthur H. Daddazio Rehabilitation Center in New Windsor, community counseling in Goshen, family counseling in Newburgh, and industrial operations and transportation services in Middletown, plus nine community residences and various supported-living apartments in Orange County.
