Local cheerleaders seize victory in all age levels at national meet Goshen — The Quest Seniors National Championship team once again placed first when they competed in Jam Fest Nationals held in Syracuse. This competition has gained the seniors another national title. The members of Quest team, based in Pine Bush, are Meghan Stackpole, Jessica Cornish, Ariel LaRosa, Erica Ferri, Emily Ferri, Janay Hampton, Nicole Krivicich, Cyndi May, Erika Larkin, Anastasia Maher, Nikki Sisco, Kaitlin Kenneally, Eileen Rivera, Stephanie Gendron, Michelle Englehart, Katelynn Dougherty, Nicole Pedersen, Melissa Klemowitz, Devan Valiando, and Kelly Broccoli. They also competed last weekend at The Galaxy of Stars Competition in Accord, where the youth team placed second, the junior team placed first and the senior team placed first. The junior squad held onto a second-place finish, giving this young group of girls a national ranking. The squad members are Amber Passalaqua, Emma LaRosa, Amber Yeaman, Ashley Jones, Rachael Ames, Kimberly Gihr, Dominic Redmond, Jessica Power, Laura Martino, Tiffany Thomas, Amber Tooley, Vanessa Cabral, Haylie Farr, Erika Roman, Lauren Deyo, Mara Hirsch, Kristie Strype, and Delaney Snyder. The junior stunt group earned a first-place national title. The members are Amber Passalaqua, Kim Gihr, Emma LaRosa, Kristie Strype, and Rachael Ames. The Quest Youth Squad also placed first in their first-ever national competition. The members are Sierra Cuff, Gabrielle Fuller, Caitlyn Quackenbush, Erika Deyo, Gianna Rotondo, Shaina Poppo, Kaylee Krauss, Kayla Weston, Brianna Roman, Sarah Jackson, Tierney Egan, and Samara Blank. This is the first year this team is competing! They also earned the judges’ award in the morning session in the Most Entertaining category. All three teams will be competing again at the Galaxy of the Stars competition on March 25 at the Roundout Valley High School. Cherie Ramsey, Richard Dematties, Michelle Goonan, Amanda Martino, and Jenn Broccoli coach the squads. Quest is an all-star team with girls from all over Orange County and parts of Pennsylvania.
