    Recap — Score: 23-8 Chester — Co-captain Sami Green of the Girls Modified Softball team in Chester stepped into the pitcher’s circle for the first time and led her team to victory on May 30. She gave up a single to the first batter, struck out the next, and helped turn a double play in a quick first inning. She also went 5 for 5 at the plate. Despite the heat, catcher Danielle Gomez aggressively scored an inside-the-park home run while picking up two RBIs. Abby Cook, Nicole Rosenberg, Sammy Clarke, Stacey Skudera, and Lisa DiBona combined for a total of 6 stolen bases. Denise Cardinale, Amy Systma, and Codie Laden contributed a total of 7 RBIs. Christina Petrillo walked and later scored a run for her team. The girls’ record is 7 wins and 1 loss, with 2 games remaining.
