Florida U11 boys picks up from where they left off in the spring - with a win

Florida - The Florida U11 Boys team played their first game of the 2006 Fall season this past Sunday, defeating Goshen by a final score of 4-1. Coming from a perfect season last Spring, the Florida U11 Boys had a lot of desire to defend their title. Going into the first half of the game, Devin Wood scored the first goal, but within a few minutes Goshen fired back to tie the game. The half ended 1-1. Florida, defending their title came back stronger than ever in the second half. Robby VanRaamsdonk made a great goal from an assist by Wood. VanRaamsdonk scored again to give the Florida team a 3-1 lead. In the last few minutes of the game, Florida was given a direct kick from a foul from Goshen. Jake Kinley perfectly placed the ball in the net to end the game with a 4-1 win. Goalie Dalton Sargent helped the Florida defense by making some great saves. This season the team introduced four new players to the team; VanRaamsdonk, Danny Collins, Jake Krzymowski and Kyle Post. They are all great additions to the all ready great group of kids that have played together for the past six seasons.
