Florida - The Florida U-11 Boys defeated the Real team from Newburgh this past Sunday in Florida behind strong defense and Robby VanRaamsdonk’s hat trick. With no games played last weekend in the Hudson Valley Youth Soccer League, the boys came into the first half well rested and ready to play. Excellent passing by the entire team resulted in two goals, both scored by VanRaamsdonk. The half ended with a score of 2-0. In the second half the boys kept up the great work, but let one goal by Real slip by. Then, an impressive shot to the upper right hand corner of the net completed VanRaamsdonk’s hat trick. Real scored once more, but Florida’s Jake Kinley made a hard shot that ended the game with a 4-2 victory. The U-11 Boys team will play their next game at Golden Hill on Sunday, Oct. 22, at 2 p.m. .against Minisink.
