First-place finishers

The Monroe Crusader Baseball Team (for 10-year-olds) finished strong by winning all six games to win the first-place trophy in the Kearny, N.J., tournament on Aug. 5. The team also won the Fair Haven, N.J., tournament in July. The Crusaders finished the season with 16-5 record for a .762 winning percentage throughout the summer. The boys were coached by Anthony Siciliano, Gene Fee, Pete Alcide and Tom Burke.
