Orange County The Orange County Soccer League for Women’s Recreational Soccer in Washingtonville reported the final scores for the following games: Hook and Ladder vs Optimized Energy (Warwick) Final score was 7-0 for the game played on Saturday, Oct. 29. E.P. Jansen Nursery (Florida) vs Schlesingers Final score was 1-5 for the game played on Sunday, Oct. 30. E.P. Jansen’s lone goal was scored by Lesa Antona off an assist from Lisa Brodsky, who had a very strong game. Ann Kakuda and Jennifer Callan played hard for E.P. Jansen’s Nursery, but it wasn’t enough to stop Schlesinger’s. Loughran’s (Salisbury Mills) vs Optimized Energy (Warwick) Final score was 6-1 for the game played on Sunday, Oct. 30. Regan Romanowski from Optimized Energy scored the first goal of the game. They had many break aways but were just not able to connect, partially due to Loughran’s goalie Jenn Erbeck’s many diving saves. Goals for Loughran’s were scored by Jeaninne Smith and Marianne Cummings, who had 1 goal each, and Angie Trzepkowski who had 4 goals. Two of Angie Trzepkowski’s goals came off corner kicks from Jeaninne Smith. Right place, right time, the two play well together. Loughran’s (Salisbury Mills) vs AMI Services Inc. Final score was 1-1 for the game played on Sunday, Oct. 30. Jill Siruchek scored in the first quarter for AMI Services Inc. The game was 1-0 until the 4th quarter, when Jacy Smith from Loughran’s connected to tie things up 1-1. Linda Dolansky played to help out Loughran’s team. AMI Services Inc. played a good game and dominated the ball. Kristy Peterson tending the goal for half the game, followed by Cathy Thompson and Jill Siruchek. Excellent defense was played by Maureen Connolly, Kelly Dillon-Bailey, Donna Squillante, and Beth VanPelt. The defense continually fed the ball to offensive players Lisa Carey and Dina Cavazza, who took multiple shots on goal, often hitting the goal post or resulting in close saves by Loughran’s goalkeeper.
