Emily Niebour named M-W athlete of the week

Central Valley - Girls Varsity Basketball player Emily Niebour has been named Monroe-Woodbury High School’s Athlete of the Week for Dec. 8. Niebour, a ninth grader, started her high school basketball career by earning the most valuable player award at the Sleepy Hollow Girls’ Basketball Tournament. She scored nine points in the first game and led all scorers with 13 points in the championship game. The Monroe-Woodbury team, coached by Linda Trapani, won the tournament.
