East Arm Rowing Club wins at Nationals

    Greenwood Lake - Members of the East Arm Rowing Club (EARC) of Greenwood Lake participated in the U.S. Rowing Masters Nationals in Seattle, Wash., from Aug. 10 through 13. Masters in rowing are oarsmen over the age of 27. Sue Cagney of Hewitt, N.J.; Jim and Cate Cody of Greenwood Lake, N.Y.; Jeff and Richard Friedrichs of Hewitt, N.J.; Robert Wagner of Greenwood Lake, N.Y.; and Cliff Williams of West Milford, N.J., represented EARC in the following events and results: • Mixed C 4+ (Jim Cody, Cliff Williams, Cate Cody, Sue Cagney with Richard Friedrichs as coxswain took the gold medal with a time of 3:41:61); • Men’s C 4+ (Jim Cody, Cliff Williams, Robert Wagner, Jeff Friedrichs with Richard Friedrichs as coxswain took the silver medal with a time of 3:25:36); • Men’s C Club 4+ (Jim Cody, Cliff Williams, Robert Wagner, Jeff Friedrichs with Richard Friedrichs as coxswain took the bronze medal with a time of 3:26:52); and • Men’s B 2- (Jeff Friedrichs and Robert Wagner with a time of 3:53:74). The East Arm Rowing Club is preparing for the FISA World Masters Regatta to be held in Princeton, N.J., Sept. 6-10. The club will race Women’s and Men’s 8+, Women’s and Men’s 4+, Mixed 8+, Mixed 2x and the Men’s 2-.
