Defensive lineman Chris Dollbaum named M-W athlete of the week

    CENTRAL VALLEY-Chris Dollbaum, who recorded 18 tackles in Monroe-Woodbury’s 35-0 victory over Warwick, has been the high school’s athlete of the week. A team captain, Dollbaum is the anchor for the defensive line on the varsity football team that is currently 7-0 and ranked 11th in New York State. He maintains a B+ average. Once the football season ends, he will be a member of the varsity wrestling team. Each week, the Monroe-Woodbury High School recognizes a student or students who maintain a high degree of success in all areas pertaining to academics while also demonstrating good citizenship and outstanding game sportsmanship.
