Dean and Liam Redmond share 'Student-Athlete of the Week' honors


WARWICK — Warwick High School is proud to select senior tennis standouts Dean and Liam Redmond as this week's Allstate "Student–Athlete of the Week."
Dean and Liam combined to win the Section IX Doubles Title this past weekend, earning a spot in the NYSPHSAA State Championships in Flushing Meadow this week.
Dean finished the regular season with a record of 13-5 as Warwick’s first singles player; Liam won 14 matches as the team's second singles player.
Dean and Liam are twin brothers with academic indexes above 90 percent.
Dean is a member of the Interact Club and vice president of Katie’s Music Wish. He also is involved in the Critical Thinking for Humanities Club.
Liam is involved in the Journalism Club.
Both earned NYSPHSAA Scholar–Athlete Recognition for Varsity Tennis.
Dean will be attending the University of Boulder in Colorado where he will be a pre-business and economics major.
Liam will attend Virginia Tech and major in engineering.
Dean and Liam are the sons of Iris Bach and Calvin Redmond of Warwick.
