Chester pitchers combine for no hitter

Chester — In their first game of the season, the Chester Hambletonians defeated the Wildcats of Livingston Manor 18-0 in a non-league game played Monday afternoon in Chester. Krissy Vanbenscoten and Kristin Jung combined to throw a no-hitter to give Chester its first win. Kayla Cabacungan and Amanda Benitez each went 2-3 with 4 runs scored. Katie Wile and Beth Pinsker each singled giving them their first varsity hits. Melissa Harrington, Kristin Jung, Amanda McCarthy, Brittany Clifford and Danielle Englehart also singled for the Hambletonians. Chester is now 1-0.
