Boccia and Garcia will play football for Hartwick College
WARWICK Wildcats football players John Garcia and Joe Boccia have been playing ball together since they were 7 years old. That trend will continue as both athletes have decided to attend Hartwick College in Oneonta and compete for the Division III school which is a member of the ECAC Empire Eight.
Garcia rewrote the record books as a two-year starting quarterback for the Wildcats. Fullback Joe Boccia was a standout player, recording 11 touchdowns and voted Warwicks offensive player of the year this past fall.
Hartwick Head Coach Mark Carr said he was excited to bring the Wildcats on board and looks for both to be immediate contributors to the Hawks 2012 season.
Hartwick, which finished 2-8 last fall, is a member of the ECAC Empire Eight and competes against Buffalo State, St. John fisher, Ithaca College, Alfred University and Salisbury State.
