Basketball player Lauren Desrats is Warwick Valley High School's 'Student-Athlete of the Week'

— Warwick Valley High School is proud to select senior Lauren Desrats as this week's "Student–Athlete of the Week," under the program sponsored by the Bill Garcia Allstate Insurance Agency.
Lauren scored 32 points over two games as the Lady Wildcat Basketball Team won the Saugerties Tip Off Tournament this weekend.
Lauren is a three-sport standout (soccer, basketball and lacrosse), and has been a first-team Times Herald-Record All Star for basketball since her sophomore year.
Lauren also is an outstanding student with a weighted grade point average of 96.1 this first marking period. Her course includes government and politics and psychology for college credit.
She is a student senator and the president of the Sports Medicine Club.
Lauren plans to attend Mt. St. Mary’s College to study special education and to play basketball.
Lauren is the daughter of Jon and Julie Desrats of Warwick. She has two sisters, Kristen (freshman) and Megan (seventh grade), and a brother Matthew (fourth Grade).
