A tour and a tie in West Point for the Florida U12 soccer team

West Point - The Florida U12 team traveled to West Point for their final game of the season. The game proved to be challenging for both West Point and Florida as both teams played evenly fought match to the 3-3 tie that ended the season. West Point was able to penetrate the Florida defense to score the first goal of the game. Florida responded and tied the game when Kevin O’Neill put a shot over the goalkeeper’s reach. Minutes later, O’Neill scored his second goal to give Florida a 2-1 lead at the end of the first half. In the second half, West Point scored first to tie the game at 2-2. Both teams battled back and forth until Jonathan Campana slipped a shot into the corner of the net to get Florida back in the lead. West Point, however, was not done as they came back and tied an exceptionally well-played game 3-3. Head Coach John Campana and Assistant Coach Al Kennedy told the team how proud they were of the team and its accomplishments this season. Up next: The indoor soccer season.
