125 varsity athletes earn academic excellence awards

Central Valley - One-hundred and twenty-five Monroe-Woodbury High School student athletes are recipients of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Scholar/Athlete Team Award for achieving “Academic Excellence” while actively participating in varsity level interscholastic athletics during the spring 2005-2006 season, according to Ronald Montalto, the Monroe-Woodbury School District’s director of physical education, interscholastic sports and intramurals. The student will be honored at the Monroe-Woodbury High School Athletic Club’s Awards Dinner later this month when they will receive the NYSPHSAA Scholar/Athlete Team Award pins.
