Special education laws discussed at free program March 13 in Port Jervis

    PORT JERVIS — Independent Living, Inc. will be hosting a free informational program for students, parents, professionals and other interested parties on the topic of special education laws and regulations on Thursday, March 13 at the Port Jervis Library, 138 Pike St., beginning at 6:30 p.m. Adrienne Arkontaky, an attorney with Littman Krooks LLP, will provide information about obtaining appropriate educational services for children with special needs. Following the presentation on special education law, attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions and participate in a roundtable discussion. Independent Living, Inc. is a consumer-directed, cross-disability service organization, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for persons with disabilities.
