WARWICK - Warwick Valley Middle School science teacher Ryan Ahern recently asked Patrick Gallagher, owner of Gallagher Solar Thermal in Warwick, to visit the school and explain how the energy of the sun can provide hot water for homes and businesses. On March 27, Gallagher brought along a solar panel and other equipment to demonstrate solar hot water technology to classes taught by Ahearn, Edward Mesic and Rick Ronzoni. “Kids love to see real applications of green energy for heating pools and domestic hot water,” said Gallagher who guided the students through the actual working system showing how to reduce pollution and save money the green way.
